Another one is on the way. The trailer actually looks decent. They don't look human hybrid (people in costumes) they still look anatomical correct as they do now in the wild and move the same but just intelligent.

Oh hell, can't they come up with something new?

Here's the preview:

When I was a kid I remember watching the first Planet of the Apes movie and seeing the apes for the first time, on horseback in the fields gathering the humans, that really scared the crap out of me. I had nightmares for days after that.

This one looks more realistic with as far as the apes go but wow yeah all this genetic engineering should be teaching us something . Some things should not be tampered with and most of all nature . I hope this movie shows us what can happen when we start playing with genetic engineering . Im sure this movie will not be for kids under 16 at least I hope not . I will most likely wait for the dvd on this one .

Seems like a mad scientist type prequel to the series. The scene in the trailer where the man is standing there and the apes are upright and looking down at him from the upper floors was chilling. I will see it!

LOL. If you have ever been to Lion Country Safari, the scene where they are bounding over the cars is funny. Usually they stop to rip off an antenna or poo on a car. Maybe these are "kinder and gentler."

The original series was all about racism, wonder what his prequel is about.

Two things make me want to see this movie:

One, it was inspired by Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, which was by far the best of the sequels.

Two, John Lithgow is in it.

Ditto. Another example of Hollywood having no new ideas, no new stories to tell, so they just recycle old stuff.

Well, the original was inspired by a fictional novel, so it wasn't a new idea even in 1967.

And who cares? This is one of my favorite science fiction series of all time. They can make as many of these as they want and I will see them. (So long as they are better than the 2001 Tim Burton dud.)

And James Franco is a really good actor. I have faith that this will be good.
