These are some of my faves. They change around, though Local Hero is probably my all-time favorite movie.
1) The end of Local Hero, when Mark Knopfler's "Going Home" is played, Mac walks into his apartment...and then, back in Scotland, the red telephone rings.
2) When Lawrence of Arabia meets Sherif Ali (Omar Sharif) for the very first time
3) When Dumbo's mom, in solitary, rocks him with her trunk <sniff>
4) Wooderson, Pink, and Mitch stride into the Emporium in 1970's Austin, Texas with "Hurricane" playing in the background in Dazed and Confused.
There's so many movies as can't recall all at this moment but the scene in Star Wars (original) where Luke and the Rebel fighters are attacking the Death Star as the Death Star looks so real in that scene at the end of the movie.....
The first scene that comes to mind is the narration scene of "Good Fellas". When Henry Hill is 'introducing' all the buddies at the hangout bar/restaurant place...Sally Balls brother Nicky Eyes, Jimmy Two-Times...also when Joe Pesci is telling a story; "so I'm laying in the weeds in Seacaucus, cop comes up, whaddya doin" here? Hey, I'm restin!!! Here?!? you're resting...yeah ya **** whaddya want from me? You wanna tell me something now tough guy? yeah, go **** ya mudda. bow! bing!...when I come to, there's this big cop again. hey bing, whaddya doing here? I taught I told ya' to go **** ya mudda!?!" bow! bing in the head...I wish I was just big, once!
Did you ever see the movie, "The gods must be crazy"? LOL! I remember laughing my head off at that Coke bottle falling on their heads. What a funny-in-an-odd-way movie.
Quigley Down Under - the whole movie's my favorite scene (it has too many to pick a favorite).
The Quiet Man - when all the locals try to give directions to Sean Thornton after he gets off the train.
The Cowboys - when the boys bring in the herd, and also when Mr. Nightlinger says his "final" prayer.
"Bagges, we don't need no stinkin' bagges" Brooks took from an old Humphery Bogart movie "Treasure of Sierra Madre".
Speaking of Bogart, the ending of Casa Blanca is a classic.
The final five minutes of "Five Easy Pieces", as Jack Nicholson leaves his air-head girlfriend, his money, his car, and steps into a truck to ride away.
