I liked most of the movies previously mentioned,

special shoutout's for Jackie Brown, Pulp Fiction and the negotiator

also not previously mentioned the red violin (awesome movie and Sam Jackson was great in an atypical Jackson role)

Oh yeah, his classic "angry black man" role was indeed really good. I cannot believe I forgot about that and even this one:

I think he was also pretty good in the remake of Shaft.

4-10 (no order):
Iron Man
Shaft
Pulp Fiction
Jackie Brown

Oh this is about Samuel L. Jackson characters huh? I thought it was about the movies he played in.
My favorite Samuel characters are John Shaft (Shaft), Jules Winnfield (Pulp Fiction), Gerald Olin (1408), Agent Augustus Gibbons (xXx), Elmo McElroy (The 51st State)

[quote=Pierce2011;19409314]One of my most favorite actors of all time is Samuel L. Jackson. He can make a crappy movie watchable. He makes good movies great. SLJ can make you love him even when he's a super villain. He can break your heart or just tick you off. What ever the case may be, he's just awesome.

So what are your favorite Samuel L. Jackson movies where his character just stood out above all others?
************************************************** *******
Ordinarily I don't care for Samuel Jackson's movies. There is one exception. I loved the BOOK OF ELI. Great movie. Great action. Great story.

Oh what the heck a good friend just told me that Denzel Washington was the star in that movie. Back to my original comment- - - Ordinarily I don't care for Samuel Jackson's movies.

"A Time To Kill" and "Coming To America" he was good in both serious drama and mischievous comedy.

Saw Unthinkable last night. Never even heard of it 'till I saw it listed on the cable line-up. I truly enjoyed the movie (it got 4 stars on the dish network rating, which is usually reserved for masterpieces like Schindler's List, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan, ect.), and I thought it ranked up there with some of his best performances. Did that one even make it to the theatre in 2010, cause I don't remember it.
