I saw that the other day on cable too. I liked it a lot more than I should have. Probably because "Trinity" was in it. But I did like SLJ's character, he was ruthless!

I wonder why that was. It had a really good cast, it portrayed a relevant topic, and I found it more entertaining than 95% of the garbage Hollywood has come out with in the last couple of years that I've sat through and watched/paid for. Seems kinda strange to me.

Not sure if you are trying be silly or not, but Soul Man is an entirely different movie than Soul Man.
My favoite SLJ movie? Amos and Andrew, of course. I didn't know until today that he was in The Exterminator. A great flick to be sure but can't be counted as "his" film.

So there are two films called Soul Man? I only know of the one with C. Thomas Howell where he becomes Black so he can get into college.
