You will get so much more out of it (college and your tv watching).

A person needs to escape the realities of life sometimes and TV is a great way to do it. A person just needs to prioritize and make good use of their time.

Not only do they not have cancellation fees but you can switch plans however many times you want. I switch my plans all the time depending on how much extra time I know I am going to have.

Anybody see this? Just when I was thinking of trying it out again, no chance I'll ever go back. It was barely worth it at the old price.

prices weren't really raised 60% across the board. my plan will go up $4 to $24, not $31 (what it would cost if it had gone up 60%). it's only that high if you had the 1 DVD + streaming plan, which was $8 and will go up to $16. some people may just decide to drop that single DVD and do streaming only.

I got an email saying that my 9.99 plan will go up to 15.68 in September. I wondered why their rates were so low. I will still keep my subscription, but if the rates go up further I'll question whether I want to pay as I go through Amazon or something. I use it for tv and movies at home and my girlfriend uses my account at her place. I haven't had regular tv for a long time and she is canceling her cable.

I would recommend reading news and watching news clips online and getting your tv and movie entertainment through Netflix. I even like relatively obscure foreign movies among other non-mainstream content and Netflix is pretty good in that respect.

It's the studios fault. They keep jacking up prices on Netflix because they are threatened and this is exactly what they want to happen. They want to make Netflix too expensive for people.
