There are hundreds of amazing Disney songs that bring us back to our childhood. Personally, I really liked "I See The Light" from the recent film Tangled (sssh don't tell my wife I watched that) However, my favorite of all time is "A Whole New World" from Aladdin.
I like a lot of the classics mentioned here, especially the Lion King ones, but I have to give them credit for a few recent songs that I feel really felt like a return to form. Those were these:
Generally, I really enjoyed both scores and both movies.
Princess and the Frog is awesome being based in old Louisiana and so is the jazzy music by Randy Newman. The music from Tangled though was just so fun and emotive. It just worked.
