A most excellent film.

Another excellent film that has now become a cult-classic is Electra-Glide in Blue (1973).

It has Robert Blake and lot of people you probably don't know, but would instantly recognize like Mitchell Ryan, Royal Dano and Billy Green Bush.

You can see a very young Nick Nolte in one scene, and a few members of the band Chicago.

Great motorcycle chase seen.

It's really a crime drama framed as a western. Beautiful scenery from Monument Valley.

Showtime...

That's the one where Caan doubles down on 18 and gets a 3! I once doubled down on soft 20 and got a 10, but I was counting cards. It was with a $150 initial bet in AC.

But I was the only white guy in a school of 1500 who got along with the six black kids. Actually, just one of them. They didn't hang out much. Towards the end of the year my mom told me to back off... people were talking.
I never actually believed his story. Even with black skin, black people could easily tell this guy was not African-American, because the black race has certain physical and speech characteristics, especially in the South. The actor who played him in the movie couldn't pass for black. James Whitmore IIRC. Also, the incidents portrayed in the book were typical well known racist behaviors.
