Has anyone seen this movie I think it opened a few days ago? I was wondering if anyone has seen this film. Do you feel it is more a kid movie rather than an adult drama? It certainly seems to be getting some good reviews, but I just get the feeling its a kid movie. Thanks.

Saw it today!! Very good movie. I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.

Its somewhat akin to the goonies, stand by me. And speilberg fantasy movies. I won't say anymore. I wouldn't call it a kid movie...appeals to both kids and adults. Good summer movie.

I really want to see it.
I hope it makes it to my little town, if not I'll drive the hour to see it in Jax.

Haven't seen it yet, but I really want to. Probably will next weekend.

The previews make it look very reminiscent of E.T. --- if E.T. could turn into the Hulk.

Just saw it. Didn't care for it. It was more for kids to me. I was actually bored and ready to go halfway through.

But I'm not much of a movie person so don't go by me.

Sheez!

You should definitely never see any movie in the theater.

It was a very good movie although it was very very similar to ET and Goonies. I was not bored at all

That isn't very nice...we all have different tastes. Some of us are like movie critics that can see every movie and appreciate some part of it and others stick to genres that they like and seldom step outside of it. In the defense of that user, sometimes it is so difficult to judge by a preview as to what type of genre some movies will fit into. I thought that Super 8 would be pretty scary but learned that it wasn't. If I was expecting a scary movie, I would have been really disappointed. I thought it was okay...but not something I must have in my DVD collection. I don't care to see it again. But, I can see why some would really love it.

Have to agree with you, I know I wanted to see it and from the first preview I had seen thought Super 8 almost had a Jurrasic Park opening scene feel with the cargo, which is what made me want to go see it, now I haven't the desire to see it in theater, am appreciative of the previews here. Though I found the comparison movies`likable, I will wait for the DVD.

I started this post. I think I may wait and see it on DVD. It sounds like a decent movie and it is something I want to see. With what movie tickets cost though. I think I will wait for something else. .
