I have got to rep. that.
I thought "Signs" was Mel Gibson & Wakine Phoenix.
At any rate, you nailed it. "The Village" was more like
a bad comedy. Put me to sleep.

IMO The Sixth Sense is a bore. boring, boring movie. and the "pay-off" or "twist" at the end is not worth sitting through the movie for. i watched the movie a second time to see if i would appreciate it more the second time around, and it was just as un-interesting as the first. i will never understand what is the big deal about that movie. to me, its as bad as anything else he's done.
i like the movie, "Unbreakable" a lot. to me, "Unbreakable" is "the good one", not "The Sixth Sense."

The first time I watched Sixth Sense, I thought he was just a really bad director. I noticed how no one seemed to be paying attention to Bruce Willis except HJO. The reason why just never clicked for me. I liked the ending but rewatches to me are pointless since you know the outcome.

I agree that Unbreakable was his one good film; Sixth Sense was just a loose rewrite of Jacobs Ladder. Not as original as everyone claims.

M. Night Shyamalan is one of my favorites. I like ALL of his movies. As a matter of fact, I watched "The Happening" just last night! That one isn't one of my favorites of his but still liked it.
I may collect all his movies, although I'm not big on stock-piling movies.

The Sixth Sense was a great movie. He has made utter garbage since then.
Signs was one of the worst films I've ever seen.

I agree with those who disliked "Sixth Sense". By the time I saw it there was just too much hype, and it was followed by a viewing of the making of documentary. Definitely a "once only" movie. How good is a movie you can only watch one time?
I liked "Unbreakable" and "Signs" quite a bit more.
Speaking of Sixth Sense, a much better horror film with similar elements which came out around the same time was "Stir of Echoes" starring Kevin Bacon. I wonder if it might have done better if it not been released at the same time. More of a traditional ghost story, but done in a modern way. I got the feeling that "Unbreakable" might have gotten some inspiration for a few of it's scenes from this film.

I recommend "Jacob's Ladder" starring Tim Robbins and Danny Aiello, to those who thought that Sixth Sense was a great movie. "Jacob's Ladder" was a much deeper film, and can be watched over and over again. It also has an extraordinarily haunting soundtrack.
