Dean Jagger worked in film for 42 years before he landed a small role in VANISHING POINT as an old prospector, not the least of many characters that made this modern day Homer's Odyssey an interesting film.

Its always interesting to see someone who would go on to fame for very different types of roles. There's the entire cast, for the most part, of The Outsiders. Laurence Fishburne in Apocalypse Now. Christopher Walken in Annie Hall. Robert Duvall as Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird. A young Benecio del Torro as a villain in the James Bond film, Licence to Kill.

There is a film with Clint Eastwood I saw about 40 years ago that I've never seen
since, don't think it's been on TV here, and I've never seen it for sale. It was caled
The Beguiled. It was directed by Don Seagel who directed Clint in Dirty Harry about
the same time. He played an injured confederate soldier taken in by Geraldine Page
who runs some sort of private school full of girls and a few teachers. Clint is a sort of
baddy in this. He misbehaves, hurts his leg, so Geraldine saws it off as a punishment
for betraying her with another teacher!! Really unusual film.

Julianne Moore in "Chloe"..

Saw it in its entirety recently.. well, she is always good, but in this one she is great.. co-starring Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried as Chloe.
