Also, any sci-fi movie where a spaceship erupts into a giant explosion when it's destroyed. With no air, there wouldn't be any spaceships exploding into huge fireballs.

I have been a Science Fiction fan my entire life...

I watch and read Sci-Fi for entertainment, I couldn't give a crap less about how close it is based on Science....

Forbidden Planet?

Colin Kapp's The Chaos Weapon?

Excellent Sci_Fi

Based on Science? LMAO, not a shred of it.

Firefly? Best current Sci-Fi show on TV...........

Neither. I just read the list of goofs on IMDB, which is entertaining reading whether one saw the picture or not, and sheds a certain light on the whole broad idea of the scientific accuracy of Hollywood blockbusters. I haven't seen the movie. Did I imply that I had done anything else? I thought I was, in conformity with the spirit of the thread, pointing users to the existence of a repository of observed errors in whatever movie one wishes to address.

Can you please explain what you mean when you "rolleyes"? How am I to interpret that?

A movie with TOTAL disregard? I'd have to go with something like

Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) - IMDb or maybe Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988) - IMDb. They were just total goofs and had absolutely no basis in reality.

But the air inside their spacecraft would ignite.

All I can say is the robots in Mystery Science Theater 3000 have done justice to a lot of old sci-fi movies. However, there are times when I would rather hear the ridiculous comments from the actors in the movie rather than those by the gumball- and bowling pin-headed robots.

When I'm typing, that's the only opinion that matters.

You said it! And what does professional wrestling on SciFy have to do with science fiction? The fiction part I get but science?
