If this only covered Hollywood's A and B list actors, then it might be a shorter list to to discuss the versatile actors instead.

I agree with most posts, especially Sir Klato's. I don't care how much some of you think Jonah Hill and M. Cera got talent or played different roles, their facial impressions (more like lack thereof), their eyes and voice tones are almost the same. There is hardly a different emotion in their acting, ever.
They fit a certain annoying/timid teen roles, that is about it.

Heck, you can even add Will Ferrell to the list of niche roles. That real-life-douche, is pretty much the same in almost every movie. That said, he would wanna see him in a serious drama?

It always amazed me how they kept making the cast for all those movies.
Then again, the producers and writers of most of the movies are the same people so I am sure that makes things easier. Perhaps it is an obvious proof of Hollywood's favoritism?
Perhaps, the movie-makers think it is smart to milk as much out of a "working formula" as they can?

If he was mentioned, I missed it. Arnold Schwarzenegger has to be the quintessential typecast actor.

All play the same role in every movie. They are niche actors. The Oscars should create an award for this type of acting. I enjoyed the movies that they have done but i am somewhat over the type of characters that they always portray.
How has everyone missed .. Danny Devito?

Done. I just summarized the plot for his next film.
Doesn't matter to me! He's MAJOR Eye Candy.

Will Ferrell was really impressive in the one drama I saw of his. (Stranger than Fiction) I've never been a fan of his, so I was pleasantly surprised.

No. She has not done the same roles in every movie.

For me:

Samuel L Jackson - He yells alot.
Adam Sandler - Reign Over Me was a little different.
Angelina Jolie - Different genres; same acting skills. Lacks range.
