Well...those elements do exist in the comic books.....even in the more grittier versions of Batman. He's a "super" hero. So you gotta leave room for the amazing. Be ready to allow for the "fantastic" to happen.
I don’t expect these kinds of movies to be realistic. At all. But a bit of plausibility is nice. The Dark Knight wouldn’t have been nearly as good had the Joker been gassing Gotham with Smilex or sitting on a candy cane throne in the abandoned amusement park.

Will do!
That’s something that all of the movies seem to have lost: The only reason Bruce Wayne took on the mantle of the Bat was to scare criminals into thinking a monster was haunting the city streets. Lose that … and you’ve just got a guy in a suit with a pointy-eared helmet.

The Dark Knight Rises will reign supreme over anything in 2012. The Dark Knight pulled in $532 million domestically in 2008 and this last one in Nolan's reboot of the franchise should pull in close to that if not slightly more.

Depends on the quality of the movie. Nolan's first Batflick didn't do those kinds of numbers.
The reason The Dark Knight made so much money was that it was a GREAT movie. People went to see it, told all their friends they had to see, then went and saw it again. That won't happen again just because it is Batman or just because it is Nolan. It will happen only if the movie is great enough to warrant it. We'll see....
Avengers trump the Dark Knight any day. I don't know about you all but Batmans voice was very annoying in the Dark Knight. And when Batman was in the Bat cave alone with Alfred why did he still feel like he had to talk differently...I would have been like "Bruce...your doing it again".
As I expected. Iron Man seems like he will be the most featured Avenger.
They are prepping us for Iron Man 3.
That and Downey can act everyone else off the screen.
