I wish I could list 25 so I could add Cop Land, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (one made in the 50s), Notorious (the one with Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains and Cary Grant), Ladder 49, A Beautiful Mind, American History X, The Great Santini, Falling Down, A Bronx Tale, A Christmas Story, Casablanca, Sleepers, Omen II, Catch Me If You Can and The Outlaw Josey Wales.
As far as the poster's list above mine, I have never watched The Shawshank Redemption or Oceans Eleven (I dislike all heist movies) and for some reason found Silence of the Lambs boring (I don't know why - I should like it) but the rest of the list

That's the first 10 that came to mind--there's a bunch more I could list though. I love the Great Escape--I used to watch that on cable as a little kid growing up all the time. I would've put the Godfather(I and II) on my list. The Departed is a great film, although I like some other Scorsese films more. Gallipoili is a good film that I remember seeing a while ago--somewhat underrated considering it's one of Mel Gibson's more serious performances.
I always have big problem with "favourites" but here is one for today ( the top three are my actually three favourites, after that it's more dependent on my mood)

List in the post above : All great films I love. "The Third Man" and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" could quite happily make my list of favourite. "Rushmore" , I have never seen . Spinal Tap" I was not too keen on" ( much prefered "Best in Show" as a satire which I thought was just fabulous). "Goodfellas I liked a lot but still thought a little over-rated" ( sorry !)

List above: Well, we had two movies in common (plus he listed Das Boot which woulda made my Top 20) so I reckon Moose's taste is not all that much different from mine. But I'm pretty sure he's more well-versed in foreign films, since he's got a few on there I never heard of. Moose is obviously a film buff, since there is great diversity of genres in his list. BUT: I gotta disagree with him on Spinal Tap, which was one of my all-time favorites and also would make my Top 20. (Of course, having been in the music biz for over 20 years might've had someething to do with that!)
