It is soooo difficult to pick just one (especially for us movie buffs).
I suppose my top favorites of all time would be: The Exorcist, Somewhere in Time, Casablanca, & Titanic.
Excellent movie! Few have seen Italian movies in the US however, and I doubt that the average American would have the patience to watch it. No explosions or gratuitous sex...
And that's a stinkin' shame.
Bicycle Thief is a period movie to end all period movies. Post WWII films set in Italy are sadly ignored. I saw it on the big screen during it's 50 year anniversary re-release. I ended up buying another box of popcorn after the film so I could ponder what I had just experienced while riding the train home.
It is hard to pick just one, omitting the godfather & gone with the wind seems everyone would like those.
