You should be fine. My husband didn't read the books and he's coming to see the movie. You should try and read at least the first book. It's very fast reading

I want to see the reviews first. I may wait to see this one on DVD.

I can tell from the previews and cast that it is going to be good.

I know that my preteen son wants to see it. But my youngest is a couple of years (borderline) too young for this story, IMO.

If I take the oldest child to see the movie, the youngest will want to go, too, which won't be happening.

If the reviews are good, I'll probably go ahead and take the oldest with one of his friends and then find another movie to take my youngest and one of friends to see.

If the reviews are not that great, I'll just rent it on DVD.

I'll go - with the expectation that it will be better than the very disappointing book.

Me! And at least a third of the women I work with - and we certainly aren't teen-agers! Hope it's as good as the book.

Dh and I both liked the book. Now our oldest son is enjoying it.

I think it's neat that this story appeals to such a range of age groups. Nothing wrong with that.

The dull trailers are not convincing me to see the film. Anyone else feel the same?

My daughter is counting the days until it comes out, if I don't take her I don't like my odds for survival. So I'll be there opening weekend.

My 10 year old daughter is obsessed - she's read each of the 3 books a dozen times and daily checks and edits the wikipedia page. (Today I bought her the $9.99 whatever magazine at the grocery store; she also has the guide thing from the bookstore).

So apparently the entire 4th grade is loading in my car to go on opening day. I think I am paying?
