Need help finding the name of this movie! (dvd, watching, rent)

I am searching for the name of a movie. This is a movie that I seen approximately 25 years ago. These are the things that I remember.

There is a ghost, she is a young French girl. She befriends the boy who lives in her home. The era is horse and buggy day.

She was murdered and she needs the boy to help her.

She was chased by a handyman and she fell down a well. She was holding her doll and her doll had diamonds hidden in it, she did not know this at the time. The doll is still stuck in the well and the boy needs to find it.

The girl is a little brunette and she has a thick french accent. The boy she befriends is a young man about 12 years of age.

If anyone has any ideas as to what the name of this movie is I would greatly appreciate the help.

I thought it was an old Disney movie but I couldn't seem to find anything on it while looking through the Disney archives.

I rember that movie, cant rember the name though i thought it was on the wonderfull world of walt disny show?

princessvanessa, is right though it will be very hard to find a copy to buy, its not on dvd thta i know, you can find it on vhs, I saw uased and new coppies for it on amazon.com for 30 dollars.

Okay doubledchecked amazon.com more like 30 to 100 pluss dollars. Maybe you can find it to rent at a video store, I rember it was pretty good now i want to see it again darn disney for being so selective on what they release.
