What 70s movies are due for re-hashes?
The "fresh out of ideas" thread inspired me to post a question:
Which 70s movies are overdue to have a bad remake made from them?
They already ruined several over the past several years.
Two I am thinking of are: soylent green and omega man.
Anyone else?

I liked Omega Man..I could see that being redone.
Jaws could be redone with even better special effects now.
Saturday Night Fever?? LOL

re-makes
I think Omega man is being done, another name though " I Am Legend " is the title, at least i believe thats the name.
And " The Warriors " they should not touch, from what i heard was the re-make is going to take place in modern time LA but all the gang members are going to be martial art experts, alot of stunts and stuff- sounds like garbage.
They tried at the "Planet Of The Apes" and in my opinion and many of the hardcore fans they did a horrible job.

Yeah - didn't they do "the longest yard" like that needed to be done.
I am also thinking "north dallas forty" and "slapshot"...
"deliverance" - it is the 35th anniversary. They could really "gore" that one up for the newer younger audiences. That was one creepy movie.
"Rosemary's baby" another one. They already ruined the "omen" with a remake.
The 70s had some classic sports genre movies. And those need to be retold I am thinking. They ruined "the bad news bears". The original was so awesome I recommend every sports parent to watch the original.
The warriors rules, so low budget but it worked with that film. They would mess it up for sure.
I hated the original "apes" movies so I never saw that remake.

I think the caliber of movies was wonderful (Bonnie and Clyde,Mash,Jaws,Godfather etc) they should not be touched, just left as classics. As far as Cannonball,Porkys ,etc,,it doesnt matter if they do them again or not

The 70s had some great classic movies. I went to tons of movies then and all through the 80s too. Now I just don't go or wait and buy the DVD. Although the cartoons are better now for sure.
