Wow - go Matt! Oh, mine is just the first vote.

I know some would scoff, but I think you also need to add Tom Cruise.

Default Jason Statham.

If you want action, He's got it. His acting is good too. His performance in Safe as a guy caught up in a real bad situation held up well. His Crank movies were great. A cross between looney tunes and an action film.

I will always be partial to the old-school bad boys like Van Damme, Arnie, Lundgren, Mike Dudikoff and Jeff Speakman. and of course... Chuck Norris. Chuck is like butter-Always on a roll.

My heart is with Bruce Willis, followed by Jason Stratham who is pure on action.

I really don't think of Matt Damon when I hear "action movies." He doesn't look like an actions star. He looks "prep school." I think of Talented My Ripley, School Ties, Good Will Hunting, the one about the Zoo, The Departed, Rounders, Saving Private Ryan as well as the Bourne movies. Good movies, all, but not pure and he doesn't really look "action."

I voted for Statham. I like Bruce Willis still but his decade was the 90's.

Denzel and Samuel Jackson are my favorites, but I don't see them as "action heroes" per se, they are just all out good actors - drama, action, suspense etc.

Vin Diesel is sh#$%t by himself.

Of these, Denzel Washington is clearly the better actor. I think Mark Wahlberg has morphed into a better actor. All of the others are just actors who play bad-ass "dudes."
