No, not really. I may like or even love them but respect them because they have skills to act? No. I do respect fire fighters, doctors, nurses, teachers, heck even cops but not actors. Here is the odd bit, I really disliked some of my teachers, most of the cops and a few of the doctors I got to know but I always respected them for what they do.
Don't take this the wrong way. As I said before, I might be the odd one here.

I like the people who always deliver a good performance, often with very little fanfare.

People like Chris Cooper, Bruce Greenwood, Tom Skerrit...

Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

There are many actors I like, but whom I don't respect because of their liberal views (like Matt Damon). I'm not sure what Hoffman's views are, but he is such a great actor I probably wouldn't care, even if he were liberal.

One actor who is greatly underrated is Andre Braugher.

This man is one solid performer----always does a great job in whatever role he takes.

I think his first big break was the series about Baltimore in the 1990s----with Richard Belzer.

Two actors, and one actress that I couldn't respect are Alex Baldwin, Sean Penn and , (last but not least)
Jane Fonda. Hanoi Jane should have been tried for treason.
