It's one of my all-time favorite comedies. It was made when Robin Williams's star was on the rise, but Matthau and Jerry Reed are the funniest parts of the movie. But I love Matthau's deadpan humor.

Awww, shucks! I just noticed the "1980's" part!

Hmmm...I must think on this.

Raising Arizona (Still one of the funniest movies ever! I can watch it over and over, and some people I know don't remember it or never saw it. Now it'll get a new generation of recognition with the new Coen brothers Box set)

A Fish Called Wanda (Kevin Kline is brilliant, Michael Palin is hilarious. Monty Python fans like it, and people who hate Monty Python like it because it doesn't remind them of Monty Python).

The Man With Two Brains (Steve Martin at his peak, before he decided to take on the "fatherly" roles. I can't believe I know people who have never heard of this movie).

Johnny Dangerously (Remember when Michael Keaton was still funny? Marking down puppies with a price gun in the pet shop still cracks me up).

1980's Arnold Schwartzeneger and Sylvester Stallone movies. They're comedies, though maybe unintentional ones.

"You fargin icehole!"...cracks me up!

I agree with every single one! Here's a few more just off the top of my head though I don't think they're underrated:

Space Balls
Caddyshack
Fatso
Cannonball Run
Easy Money
Beetlejuice
The Disorderlies
Trains, Planes and Automobiles
The Great Outdoors

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Top Secret <-- Airplane and Naked Gun type humor

If you like younger cast/teen type comedies:
Real Genius
Better Off Dead
Lover Boy
Secret Admirer <-- Not hilarious but had funny part and also fun movie.
If you like corny sex comedies, then check out "Gimme an F" too.

These are all I can recall for now.
