Looks like no bowl haircut headed wacky LLoyd Christmas for us. He dropped out due to strife with the studio. They should just scrap this now. No one could fill this slot. I and many others were looking forward to how our two doofuses were doing. Did they start the worm store? Did Lloyd find true love with Holly? Did Harry ever get a haircut? Change your mind Jim!

"Dumb and Dumber" was possibly the stupidest movie ever made, but it holds a special place in my heart because I first watched it while living in Bolivia during a serious bout of homesickness. The airport scene was filmed at the SLC airport, where I started that particular misadventure, and that Crash Test Dummies 1 hit wonder song reminded me of home too.

I might be only person who ever actually cried during the movie... and not because it was so bad.

That said... for the love of god, please don't make another one!

The worst was Dumb & Dumberer, the prequel. Holy crap that was an awful movie.

It's true...Dumb and Dumber is dumb...but sometimes, don't you feel like laughing about really stupid stuff? Don't you feel like letting go and being unapologetic when Lloyd dreams about setting his farts aflame? Dumb & Dumberer was worse, but there were parts that were just ridiculous and still made me laugh. I do agree that if Jim Carrey doesn't do it, they don't need to find a replacement for him. It wouldn't be the same.

I'm glad they let it rest. The first was kind of funny, it was a different type of humor. But now copying the same thing is like Adam Sandlers movies. Similar characters for 15 years. Boring.

I love Dumb and Dumber. Great movie and classic Jim Carrey! I had no idea they were making another one until I heard the news of Jim backing out, which means it won't be made at all. And I say, GOOD! There is no way a sequel could live up to the original. It would do nothing but taint the awesomeness of the original and the idea to make a sequel in the first place was not smart IMO. The prequel, which I've never seen and never will see, was bad enough.
Excuse me while I go watch Dumb & Dumber again. It's been too long!
