Have You Been to a Movie Theatre Since Aurora?
We went tonight to the movies. Good movie -- "People Like Us."
When I went in and sat down, I immediately thought how dark the theatre was and wondered if it was safe. But I'm glad we went. Movie theatres are a dying breed anyway and I'd like to support them. Seeing a movie on the big screen is so much more relaxing than watching on a computer or TV.
I check where the exits were and consider if the theatre was safe. The mgr. was taking tickets and he assured me they were doing all they could to protect people. However, he did say the industry as a whole was hurt. So if you like going to the movies, at least consider going to support the movie industry. Another good movie out now is "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel."

You should feel safe now. The CIA got what it wanted and it looks like more anti-gun legislation is on the way.

Yeah. Why wouldn't people go? It was one incident. People get so paranoid in this country.
It's like airplanes. When one crashes its a big deal but then you have to think on daily basis how often a plane actually crashes and the thousands of flights that take off daily same goes with the movies. You probably have a much higher chance of getting killed while driving to the movies than actually getting killed in one.

No.
I have not. just have not had the time cause of work and stuff. I usually go to early shows or during the week when there is less people anyway. i love going to the movies and am not going to give it up. A mass shooting can unfortunately happen in almost any public space.

I don't go to the theater very often due to the high price. However, what happened in Aurora won't dissuade me just like 9/11 didn't dissuade me from flying. No sense in living in fear.

Haven't been to a movie in years. Not because of one act of a murderer, but because of the annoying cell phones, people talking, and that guy behind me kicking my seat.
Um the CIA? Seriously? Here we go...

Gotta keep doing what you always did. You never know. It's kind of life refusing to fly on a commercial airliner after 9/11. I just flew on an 11 hour flight last week, and the next day my left foot was swollen. Heck, that could have turned into a blood clot and killed me, unbeknownst to me. C'est la vie!

I went on the day that the shooting happened and my theater was packed. We were all there to see Dark Knight Rises. Men, Women, and Children alike. Were we all a little nervous? I am sure but you can not live your life in fear. Whose to say the next shooting won't be on a crowded train? or in a mall? You never know when you might meet your fate. There are killers everywhere.

No thanks -- nothing about compulsory conformity appeals to me. I prefer to be an independent thinker.
