I thought it was a nice touch having Jhn Blake "SWING" into the Batcave, thru the water fall!!

Very Robin-esque....

And sorry you guys about comparing Michael Bay to Nolan. My point is both of these guys knock it out the park in the box office. Bay's movies are indeed mindless but Nolan has these long dragged out scenes with almost the same mood in all of them and finishes them with a big action scene, and scenes are not that creative either just 'big'. Anyway, Nolan and Bay both of them going to give you an action film, Nolan is going to do it slow, Bay gets right to the point through Bay's blockbuster playbook. Which is better? I guess Nolan because people think his movies are epic.....not to me, they are just 'big' movies trying to be epic.
Being out of commision was half the point of the film. Bane beat him and he had to find his way back. What would be really sweet is if they could have really done the whole Knightfall/Knight Quest/Knight Rises storyline from the comics. Of course, it would never work as live action but someone could do a season or two of an animated series.

Default Batman was alright...

... but it wasn't 'to die for' was it?

Pardon my indiscretion, but as long as the media keeps "celebrating" these murderers, I'll have my little fun too.

TV will turn the camera away from a nut who runs out on a football field, yet the media will publicize the sick manifestos of all mass murderers for our entertainment. Wanna be a celebrity? This might be the easiest way.

As a fan of the comic myself no one else has come close to the comic book as of yet. I doubt anyone will. This time with all of Nolens vison of Batman the comic books fans were more then happy.

But he sure does bring in box office with this movie and his rest..... So am I the only one that thinks this? The studio spends over 100 million dollars on a movie and its just the best movie in the world huh. Now that I think about it, Nolan reminds me of Michael Bay but his movies aren't as fun. At the end of the day both these guys bring in the big bucks with their over 100 million dollar not so good epics.
No you are not the only one who thought it was just ok. I am a fan of the franchise and was looking forward to it. Was the movie horrible? No but I don't know I just expected more considering that I thought Nolan knocked it out the park with the the last two movies. So no you are not alone.

Well here is where I disagree with you. I actually prefer Nolan's style of filmmaking to Bay's but everybody's taste in movies is different. I have watched and enjoyed Bay's films as well.

In response to your two posts, Nolan is simply too serious and his movies are big. This is the reason I say him and Bay are alike. Bay makes fun big films that blow the box office up. Nolan makes overly serious big films that also make great box office too .....whats the difference besides people think Nolan is some genius intellect film maker. We all seem to hate Bay yet we support his films. I want to like Nolan, heck I own Inception and Dark Knight DVDs and probably will also own the Dark Knight Rises DVD, just something about his style I just don't like. Maybe its just preference, I love Terminator 1 & 2 (T2 is my favorite film), Die Hard, District 9. Those are just action movies to be more comparable I'd say the Spiderman series(all four films) with the exception of Spidey 3 are more watchable than the last 3 Batmans.
