I had not even heard about it until I saw the DVD at the store today. It looks pretty interesting.

Has anyone seen this yet? How is it?

Unfortunately - yes. I'm not a horror movie person, most of them are 'cookbook' tellings.
VHS did not have that same 'cookbook' storyline, but was still reminiscent of 'Blairwitch Project' and 'Cloverdale' with some '8MM' thrown in.
It looks like a backward independant film. however, it's got some good effects for a low budget movie, the concept is OK but the telling of it could be better and the dialogue is cheese.

Didn't get to see the last half hour, but what I did watch was surreal and grotesque, kind of like a bad trip.

It's a few movies within one movie. The VHS tapes played in the film are way out there and 2 are gruesome-Esp the hotel room scene with the frat boys. Good film and different then many other of the horror lately.

On second thought, it may be a little extreme for my tastes from what I've watched of the trailers.
