I had the soundtrack album and I played the piece from the attack on young Conan's village for a friend who had not seen the movie. His comment? "If our boys had had this behind them in 'Nam instead of that rock crap, there would be Burger King's in Hanoi today."
Let me tell you of the days of high adventuuuure....
I agree that Zimmer is great. I love his score for "The Thin Red Line" however, my favorite score of all time is "Legends of the Fall" by James Horner.
