Episode 3 is the best of the original 6 to me. It had the most weight, the prequel crew performed the best in Episode 3 & the birth of Vader didn't suck.

You'd think with all their advanced technology that they would be able to do better than give him prosthetic limbs and a portable iron lung.

And you'd think they'd be able to invent a robot that could communicate beyond boops and beeps. But really, STAR WARS has never really been science fiction. It's Fantasy in space. Don't overthink it.

episode III worked great as a comedy, the part when Vader finds out what happened to Padme and he goes "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" had audiences laughing in their seats

They could have had him run around screaming "EXTERMINATE!"

But this is proper. It would look odd to have someone playing Princess Leia other than her, too. The time taken to produce the last three has meant the real actors can play themselves. They are going to be the ones to rebuild the Republic and will be senior leaders. I'd like to see Han in that role...

I always suspected that R2D2 and the Daleks had a common origin of some sort. They both appear to have evolved from trash barrels.

I definitely disagree...but I'd say Ian McDiarmid's performance as the Emperor in Episode 3 may be the best performance in all 6 movies.

The biggest weakness in the prequels was just the lack of excitement. Hamill's performance in Ep 4 (he got better later) was really nothing great, but he at least got us excited, so we could really truly believe he was deciding the fate of the universe with each missile he fired.
