I just finished watching The Company You Keep. So many amazing older actors in it from my younger days. It was riveting. Kind of like The President's Men meets Sneakers, I don't know.

I was thinking his movies are always winners, whether he stars in them or directs them. Is he a genius or blessed or what?

Can you think of any Robert Redford bombs? Otherwise, share your favorite Robert Redford movies, whether as an actor or director.

when you say bomb, do you mean a terrible movie or a movie that doesn't do well at the box office?

There must be something about Meryl Streep, a good actress, but it was difficult
To buy the romance with Robert Redford in "Out of Africa". Zero chemistry on screen. Now, his chemistry with Barbara Stiersand, was smoking hot.

I did not like "The Natural".

I don't remember ever seeing the Hot Rock. Just added it to my DVD queue on Netflix. Thanks!

I mean a terrible movie. I don't care about the box office.

I agree about Meryl Streep and Robert Redford having no chemistry in that movie whatsoever. I couldn't feel their angst. It always felt like he was glad to get away from her LOL!

or an IED?

I didn't like Legal Eagles, Havana, Up Close and Personal, and The Last Castle. Those are also money-losing films.

His version of The Great Gatsby wasn't very well received. Not panned exactly. Just greeted with a sort of .. meh.

I take it that you've never seen Lions for Lambs?

But he does few movies, so I suppose he takes the time to choose carefully.
