My 16 year old son wanted to see this movie, I read a parental review in IMDb and thought no (a little too crude on the humor) but sometimes the reviews can be misleading so I would like to hear from people who have seen it.

Have not seen it, but I would imagine the reviews are accurate. Have you seen any of the Jacka$$ movies? If you do not think those are appropriate, I would imagine you would not find Bad Grandpa appropriate either

If you have to ask, you should already know the answer. OTOH, your 16 year old son has probably seen or heard way worse things in school than what's shown in the movie.

I believe he has seen or heard worse but that is not reason enough for me to allow or disallow.

Either way, he is going to see it. I think he is old enough to understand that it is a movie and that type of behavior is not appropriate in real life.

I don't think it's an appropriate film for me to take my girlfriend to(and we're in our 30s), but it's very appropriate for a 16-year-old guy... I mean, that's the target audience.

I wouldn't base my decision solely on IMDB. Personally, if it was a typical "Jackass"/over the top crude movie, it probably would have been rated NC 17.

You know your child--we don't. Would he be able to handle this type of crude humor?
