The first time my kids watched this movie I thought it was so stupid. Then I started seeing kids re-enacting the scenes and it was hysterical I watched it again with kids and luaghed my a-- off.
Anyone else love that movie??
Absolutely fantastic, quirky and hilarious movie, far cleverer than it looks. I loved it especially Pedro who stole the show in my opinion. Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez are two comic geniuses....
I know it's stupid, but I've seen it a million times. When I am feeling down, I pop in Napoleon and the same old stupid scenes I've watched over and over again never cease to make me laugh.

I don't love it, but I think you hit on its success:
It is much more fun to re-enact than to sit through.
Two of my favorite parts:
The opening credits
The time machine
Napoleon Dynamite is one of my favorite movies. When Deb is at their house to sell Napoleon one of her keychains, she says that she's trying to save money for college, and in the background Kip says, "Your mom goes to college!"...that cracks me up every time. I think the characters in that movie are great. And I love how it takes place in the '90s, but there's so much '80s in it.
I must need to watch it again, I could hardly sit through it... sorry I am the downer on this thread ;(
