There seems to be a lot of sex in it, and some lesbian scene, so I probably won't watch it. It also looks by the commercials that they're exploiting Jennifer's sensuality. I want to protect the pristine image of Katniss in my mind.
American Hustle? If there was any sex, it wasn't memorable. I certainly don't recall any. And no lesbian scene. Not sure what previews you're seeing.
Are you thinking the movie is about porn or prostitution or some such sex industry? It's not. It's loosely based on the Abscam FBI operation in the 1970's.
Maybe they saw the scene when Jennifer Lawrence roughly kissed Amy Adams? But that was like a Mafia kiss-off kiss, like when in The Godfather, Michael Corleone kissed his brother Fredo to indicate he was a goner. Not sexual.

I absolutely *loved* it. Such a nice break from superhero stuff and other action movies.
Seems like it bored some people, I suppose it will end up being in another one of those "Overrated" or "Movies Everyone Loves But You Don't Get" threads.
I guess some people need more than talking in a movie.
I was enthralled with the acting, the humor, the theme of reinventing yourself, and how far you can take this. Loved Amy Adams, and enjoyed Jennifer Lawrence.
wasnt really interested in this film but shoved it on... and was on the computer for the first 20 mins only listening, then looked round and saw Christians Bales character... dont know the actor well but something about him had me interested and I started to watch it....as it progressed I began to like all the characters except Amy. not keen at all on her ... but found Bale and Cooper marvellous.. and Jennifer too was much better than I expected. so a good film that had me smiling too.glad I watched it...
I just watched the movie last night and although I thought it was well made and Christian Bale was terrific, it just seemed a bit off. The plot was lengthy, yet had no significant twists or anything really remarkable. There were plot holes and some oddly cut scenes (Deniro speaking arabic, then poof nothing). I also thought the selection of Jennifer Lawrence was terrible. Shes a good actress and all, but shes way too young for that role. I dunno, anyone else think the movie could have been better?
I refuse to watch any movie if Christian Bale doesn't look hot in it. It'll ruin my fantasies about him.
