Remember, the movie itself doesn't have to be good at all, just looking for a great car chase scene. Please share!
Not that straight forward of a question since some car chases are great because they are realistic, some are great because they are fantastic fun, while others may be great because of wonderful photography.....just to say a few differences.

That said, when this question comes up, it is usually considered that "Bullitt" is the best of all car chases and from the realistic part, I would agree.

But from the fantastic fun? That's "The Spy Who Loved Me". Great sound track with the land torpedo, wonderful henchmen with George Leech as the Cortina Gunman #2, and Caroline Munro as a hit lady to die for.

But great photography goes to ........... "Death Race 2000" with David Carradine with that brief shot on his face as he drives through the bomb barrage. The intensity of those few moments takes one's breath away.

Could there be others, different picks? Of course, it's from the eye of the beholder. For example, the 60's "The Italian Job" or "The Blues Brothers" might be the greatest fun to another.

It just depends on the viewer.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the Mad Max series. Nothing like post apocalyptic dune buggies, V8 Interceptors, school buses, semis and trains mixing it up.

Also both Terminator 2 and 3 have good car chases involving large vehicles you wouldn't expect to be used in chases.
