I Love all of the "A Christmas Carol" movies. I have the 1984 with George C. Scott. I just found the 1951 with Alastar Sim, included with it is the 1935 version. In the 1951 version has anyone ever noticed after Scrooge went with all of the spirits, woke up, the housekeeper arrives and he finds out it is Christmas day. He went to the mirror, If you look closely in the mirror the background is a green curtain (also shows in the B & W version). Someone is peeking out from behind the curtain and he is captured in the scene.I still need to find one from when I was a child. It might be Mr. Magoos Christmas Carol. It has a young Scroge @ the school alone and he sings a song that has the lines. "A hand for each hand was made for the world, why don't my fingers reach" That is all I can remember of the song. Any help here folks?
John Candy in "Planes, Trains and Automobiles". And Martin Landau's "The Joyriders". Cried at the end of both of them. That's the sine-qua-non for any Christmas picture.
Location: Moved to town. Miss 'my' woods and critters.

It's A Wonderful Life has been a long time tradition around our home. There are a few others that I like, also. A Christmas Story and A Christmas Carol, (Geo. C. Scott) which I have. The first Christmas Carol just about scared me the first time that I saw it. I was very young and the teachers showed it at school one afternoon. Later I learned to appreciate it.
