He went to the mirror, If you look closely in the mirror the background is a green curtain (also shows in the B & W version). Someone is peeking out from behind the curtain and he is captured in the scene.I still need to find one from when I was a child. It might be Mr. Magoos Christmas Carol. It has a young Scroge @ the school alone and he sings a song that has the lines. "A hand for each hand was made for the world, why don't my fingers reach" That is all I can remember of the song. Any help here folks?
Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It wasn't shown on TV or available to buy for the longest time, but now it's on DVD. So now you can cry along with it any time of the year!

If you need an immediate fix the whole thing is on youtube.

Only You w/ Andrew McCarthy, Helen Hunt and Kelly Preston. One of my all time fave movies period but it just happens to be set during Christmas time.

'A Christmas Story'-hands down!

Another favorite is 'Black Christmas'-the 1974 original (not the horrible remake)-genuinly creepy flick!

I just noticed 'The Shop Around the Corner' on this list and I thought this was the film/book upon which 'You've Got Mail' was based?

'You've Got Mail' and 'Sleepless in Seattle' could both be added to this list.

I will have to give 'Die Hard' a try--it doesn't sound like a typical Christmas movie.

'Skipping Christmas', a book by John Grisham, was made into a film a few years ago. On the lighter side.

John Candy in "Planes, Trains and Automobiles". And Martin Landau's "The Joyriders". Cried at the end of both of them. That's the sine-qua-non for any Christmas picture.

It's A Wonderful Life has been a long time tradition around our home. There are a few others that I like, also. A Christmas Story and A Christmas Carol, (Geo. C. Scott) which I have. The first Christmas Carol just about scared me the first time that I saw it. I was very young and the teachers showed it at school one afternoon. Later I learned to appreciate it.
