Just to clarify: The Quicksilver we'll be seeing in The Avengers is NOT the same Quicksilver we'll be seeing in the next X-flick.

Both movies are using the same character from the comics, but the the movies themselves do not intersect. Q in X-flick is a mutant. Q in Avengers is a Hydra science project.

I hope the next X-Flick does really well at the box office. I hope it's great. And then I hope Marvel gets the rights back. The Fox movies have run their course. Time to let Marvel do the X-Men right. And unless Singer's lawyers are really, really good, his career may be over. Or maybe Polanski will take him in?

Yes, noted.

I asked this questioin before: Were Wanda and Pietro HYDRA science projects, or were they captives in the SHIELD Sandbox taken when HYDRA overran the Sandbox? We see that Von Strucker does have Loki's scepter from the Sandbox.

Well, as Cap 2 showed us, they were probably both. SHIELD and HYDRA have been the same thing for years.

The HYDRA folk didn't seem to have the keys to the Sandbox, though. They had to break in.

And that is probably a plot hole...what kept any HYDRA from penetrating the Sandbox?

I was a bit curious about the origin of the name "winter soldier" and did a few seconds of Googling to find this detailed exposition:

Learn the History of the Term

But I'd add some reconning of my own for my own satisfaction:

Russians take great notice of the Russian winter as their greatest wartime ally. The Russian winter defeated both Napoleon and Hitler. Every adversary must be prepared to fight the Russian winter, and none has yet defeated it.

If Captain America is the greatest of America's soldiers, winter is the greatest of Russia's soldiers, so the name "Winter Soldier" would be appropriate to the Russian mind because their winter cannot be defeated.

I recently saw the movie and loved it. While I liked the first film, this one was far better. Cannot wait for the sequel to "The Winter Soldier".

I think that is because it was limited access to prevent a security breach. Sadly Ward was able to find a loophole in it.

Yeah, but Garrett had access to everything. He was the walking security breach. HYDRA should have had people within the Sandbox as they had with everywhere else.
