What's "Zodiac" like ? I hadn't even heard of it . I haven't seen "The Bourne Ultimatum ", I am not a great fan of Matt Damon, but if you recommend it, it must be good so I might just rent it.
Zodiac is an account of the Zodiac murders in San Francisco.
Warning: It does have one really horrifying spot of violence--not gouts of red blood, just pure terror.
The rest of the movie is both taut thriller, murder mystery, and fascinating character study.
You know, I am not super-thrilled with Damon's outer appearance, but I find him to be an able actor. One of his best roles was The Talented Mr. Ripley.
He is excellent in the Bourne series.

1- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
2- Transformers
3- ...

I cant really think of a third. There were a lot of movies that I was anticipating this year, but was disappointed by them (Pirates 3, Shrek 3, and Bourne 3, Spiderman 3 - to name a few).

I like Matt Damon a lot. He's such a guy-next-door and not an outstanding beautie and he's a great actor in different films. But you should try the Bourne trilogy...

That I've seen off the top of my head:

The Bourne Ultimatum
Ratatouille (very cute)
Hairspray (I think I liked it better than Dreamgirls)
This Christmas (such a breath of fresh air to see such a positive portrayal of blacks; very fun movie)
Why Did I Get Married? (not really a "good movie", but it entertained me, and once again a treat to see an alternative portrayal of blacks)

I was going to say Knocked Up, but while it was good, it was a bit overrated. Overall, though, 2007 has been a great year for film.

There just weren't a whole lot of movies that I ran out to buy this year. I think the only one I bought was Reign Over Me. Adam Sandler was wonderful (IMHO) in a straight dramatic role. The courtroom scene had me grabbing for the Kleenex box. I thought he did a fine job in that movie.

Other than that it was a pretty dry year. Can I nominate Pan's Labyrinth for a second year?

A dry year? Really?? This has been one of the best years in film in a long while.
