Movies you thought were great, but never want to watch again
This isn't about bad movies, this is about great movies. Movies that were so disturbing or depressing, but were incredible to watch, one time only.
Here's my list so far:
Elephant
Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer
Black Hawk Down

I posted this before:
The deer hunter
Brazil: "(the main character - Sam's) efforts culminate into a violent and tragic climax, the outcome of which depends entirely on his friends' loyalty to Sam over their loyalty to the system that controls them."
The view of the future - as controlled through the "central services" entity in that movie is disturbing. And the imagery of the ducts through the entire movie is chilling to me. There are several cuts of this movie. I am assuming that the Directors cut is the best, which is what I think I saw.

If I had to pick one I would agree with gardener and say The Deer Hunter. It's a movie that I don't want to watch but have seen it numerous times if that makes any sense!

-The Life of David Gale
-Monster
-Boys Dont Cry
I was slightly traumatized after watching these movies. I was especially shocked with David Gale.. such an extremely sad story. I thought all 3 were great, but just too much for me, never want to watch them again.
