I watched my first 2 "old" films this week: Rebel Without a Cause and East of Eden, which were both fantastic. I've made a list of older movies I want to watch, feel free to comment on my choices and recommend any more movies (preferably no classic Disney movies ). Also NO SPOILERS!

Citizen Kane
The Bicycle Thief (the Italian film)
Casablanca
North by Northwest
The Godfather (will see the whole trilogy)
A Streetcar Named Desire
A Clockwork Orange
Metropolis
Singin' in the Rain
Giant
Psycho
Vertigo

Now that you've discovered the pleasures of classic movies, rather than collecting bare-bones lists from strangers on the internet, you might want to buy yourself a good reference book that will give you thumbnail descriptions.

The Thin Man is on TCM tonight. Mix a martini and enjoy; you'll be glad you did.

The 1952 War of the Worlds is also a good movie to see. Would highly recommend that one.
