So, I am 25 days from completing my contract and going home. Last weekend my apartment was broken into my new 55", DVD, and wii were stolen. Not going to buy replacements until I get home.

So, I am absolutely bored to death in the Apartment and need some suggestions for recent (last 3 years?) releases that are not mainstream (because I probably already have them), but excellent, that I can purchase on DVD and play on my laptop.

I mention laptop screen because I am not looking for a glorious visual experience that won't come through on the small screen.

What do you recommend?

Do you not already have Netflix? Just sign up for their free 30-day trial and stream whatever you feel like.

No, I do not access the internet via broadband so that is not an option.

Just looking for good movie suggestions.
