See.. I'd disagree with you on that.. Tommy Boy is a classic buddy movie.
Now.. One of mine.. BASEketball.. That's just a dumb movie that I can't stop myself from laughing at. With classic dialog like this..
Ha! My husband and I do the dude thing every once in a while. I had to explain it to my kids, but I haven't been able to find the movie to show them. It was funny, but may be slightly inappropriate for them? It's been so long since I've seen it, and the dude argument and the Tampax stadium and stripper cheerleaders are about all I can remember from it.
I personally love the stupid but funny movies. Whenever I mention a funny line from one of them, my co-worker always has to say how stupid and un-funny those movies are. Of course the same person also doesn't like Seinfeld, so I just chalk it up to not a very good sense of humor. Maybe these movies are considered too good for this type of thread though, but I have been told they're awful by people and I really enjoy them, so here they are:
1. The Jerk
2. Airplane
3. Austin Powers, all of them
4. Wayne's World
5. Napoleon Dynamite
6. Water Boy

Yes, The Jerk and Airplane are classic stupid but funny movies. And I really don't get all the hate people have for Napoleon Dynamite. It's one of the funniest movies ever made. I have all three in my movie collection. And I never tired of them. I also never stop laughing at the jokes lol. I quoted one of Airplane's most classic lines to someone once. Surprisingly she had never seen it! "I like my coffee black...like my men!" Best line ever! And there's nothing more awesome than June Cleaver talking jive lol!

Ok maybe not the right spot for this but not sure what people would consider this movie.... it's not horrible by any means... or stupid... but if someone explained to you what the movie was about before even watching or knowing what it was you'd be like, "WHAT? That can't be good!".....
DEATH TO SMOOCHY!!!
When I first saw this gem I was not very optimistic at all that Edward Norton could even pull this character off that he did.... but how dare I underestimate his skills here, just a tremendous job in this one! Who can forget Robin Williams and Danny DeVito as well.... tremendous cast and surprisingly great movie!
