Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger. I was about 8 or so. In the summer, the local theatre did the summer movie package for kids. My father would air-pop a bunch of popcorn, slather it in melted butter and salt, and pour it into a brown paper grocery sack, and my brother and I would hit the cinema with a bunch of the neighborhood kids. The movies were all of this ilk.

There was only one local movie theater we were allowed to attend, and my family wasn't one for such frivolities, but my mother did take me to see "To Kill a Mockingbird" when it first came out. I can't recall anything earlier.
