I saw The Theory of Everything this past weekend. It was a good movie, but not terribly earth shattering. But Eddie Redmayne ... oh my god! If he doesn't get an Oscar nomination, there's something wrong with this world. I think his performance is actually worthy of the win, but I'm waiting to see who else is nominated.

I think given the current political climate in the US and the actions of some US police, that Selma may well have a good chance of winning some awards.
Other possible candidates for possible awards include Mr. Turner, Foxcatcher, Whiplash, Unbroken, Interstellar, Into The Woods, American Sniper and the critically acclaimed A Most Violent Year.
I hope people know David, who plays ML King!
I have been watching him for over a decade...he had to gain a lot of weight.
He has an American accent down...as shown also in 'Jack Reacher'.
And a thick British accent in 'MI-5', the British 11 season series.
I'm normally into movies, and I usually follow the awards season, but this year I'm just not into it at all. I actually don't care for most of this year's movies, as I consider it a weak year.
From this list, I've only seen Gone Girl. I've thought about seeing The Theory of Everything because I admire Eddie Redmayne. I'm also curious about The Imitation Game. But beyond that, I couldn't care less.
I've gotten terrible reviews of Birdman from friends that have seen it.
I still haven't seen Gone Girl but I really want to.
