I was talking to my brother yesterday when my brother and he commented how his fiance didn't want to see it because it was too raunchy. I asked is it because she didn't like The Hangover and ironically, she liked it. To me this seems like a mix of the more modern We are the Millers style movies and the old Vacation characters. I personally like that mix.

IMO opinion its:

Christmas Vacation
Vacation
Vegas Vacation
and way down there

Europe.

Not including the new Vacation, which looks like crap by the way, the last good National Lampoon movie IMO was Van Wilder.

Yup indeed...... That new "vacation" movie is a disgrace to the whole VACATION series!!!!! (I cannot believe Clark and Ellen wanted ANYTHING to do with that (Well maybe I can ))

The best ones were Vacation 1 and 3

Well to be fair, most of the more recent National Lampoon's movies were direct to DVD releases or very limited releases like Dorm Daze, Going the Distance, Pledge This or Barely Legal...

I actually went out and saw the new Vacation movie today.. I went in expecting to absolutely hate it.. But, honestly.. Not that bad.

It's certainly no great movie by any stretch, but.. A solid "B" movie. There is a mention of Cousin Eddie in it.. The Chevy Chase/Beverly D'Angelo cameo falls a little flat.. It's astounding how fat Chevy Chase is now. I actually thought the cameo by the Family Truckster was better.

I'd rank this third.. Even though European Vacation has grown on me over the years.. I still rank this better than that.. And I am no fan of Vegas Vacation at all.. And if we're at all considering that horrifying Christmas Vacation 2 (Which I don't really consider part of the series).. It's so far down the list..
