oh yeah I totally forgot about "the Mist" I actually rewound that a few times..and I felt like screaming like that man did..and just as loud too!

I first saw "The Last American Virgin" when I was a teenager back in the '80s and the ending was devastating. I still think of it as a heartbreaking ending, especially with the song excellent they played at the end.

Forrest Gump is my favorite movie, and I still get depressed at the end when Jenny, who Forrest has loved and waited his entire life to receive the same feelings from in return, passes away from HIV/AIDS. Tom Hanks 100% deserved that Oscar that year, in a year full of some of the greatest movies of all time. (The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, etc.)

In 'Castaway' Chuck (Tom Hanks) had a soul crushing experience at the end of the movie when after being rescued at sea after leaving on a raft the island on which he had been marooned for years, and hoping to be reunited with his fiancé Kelly (Helen Hunt), he finds that she is married to another man. They both had been the love of each others life, but she thought she would never see him again and had to move on with her life. The thought of her had kept him going while he was on the island, and to find that he had lost her was soul crushing. But he bore it well.
