2008 movie showing now on HBO about someone who pretends to choke in restaurants. There was a "Threes Company" episode where they did this exact same thing, yet, this writer Chuck Palahniuk's wikipedia page never mentions he borrowed this idea from Jack Tripper.

I didnt realize you could watch tv shows, get ideas and then make them your own and cash in with a book and movie.
