I forgot to mention I liked him Angriest Man in Brooklyn, a 2013 film with Mila Kunis also. It's the first time I had seen him as the grumpy old man role and he cussed up a storm the whole time! But it was hilarious as you can imagine and I recommend to anyone, it's on Netflix.

Loved all of his movies..But Patch Adams touched my heart as a HC provider

Such a tortured man..yet produced such wonderful movie performances ..comedy thru to real down to earth drama issues....Bless his heart..He used comedy to mask his internal demons..But, boy did he do it well!! I sure miss that man

It was a crap movie.. But he nailed the part of Popeye.

An actor that you think had alot more hit movies than he actually did.

I think his best performances were Awakenings, Good Morning Vietnam, Good Will Hunting and The Birdcage.

What baileypotter said. I'll add Dead Poets Society. I am unusual in that I enjoyed Robin Williams when he was more serious and when he "played against type" than when he was wild and wacky.

I liked "Mrs. Doubtfire" - but I didn't love all of the physical humor as much as many people did.

He is one of my favorite actors and comics. A brilliant man and a tragic loss.
