Grown-ups isn't good because of Sandler. It's good because of everyone else (Spade, Rock, Hayek, Rudolph, James, etc.). Sandler's in it, but he couldn't dominate the movie.

I never meant to say he shined in the movie. I honestly don't know who did. The point is, that all Adam Sandler movies just don't suck.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say you did. Grown Ups is a funny and enjoyable movie because of its ensemble.

Not all of Sandler's movies suck, but many of them do, like Anger Management (overrated), The Waterboy (watching it costs you IQ points), Jack and Jill, Little Nicky, Mr. Deeds, Click and so on.

The Sandler movies I do like are Happy Gilmore (hands down, his best), The Wedding Singer, Billy Madison, Grown Ups and You Don't Mess With The Zohan. I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry isn't bad.

I liked Pixels. But then that ensemble talk made me think I'd have liked it even more if Rob Schneider was in it with him.

That's a stupid title. Adam Sandler is considered a very financially successful filmmaker. He has had 3 bombs out of about 30 films.
6/15/12 That's My Boy Sony $36,931,089
12/17/04 Spanglish Sony $42,726,869
11/10/00 Little Nicky NL $39,464,775

Pixels may not make a lot of money, but if "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" didn't kill Eddie Murphy's career, than Pixels is not going to kill Adam Sandler's.

Punch-Drunk Love. which was Adam Sandler's highest rated film by critics sold about 3 million tickets.

That and he is in Hotel Transylvania 2. If that does pretty good money like it is expected to, he'll still have a career.

And I guess Pixels was #2 thus weekend, barely getting beat by Ant Man. So it's not doing that bad.

Only $24 mil domestically, but $50 mil world-wide.

I actually liked Anger Management quite a bit and thought parts of Mr. Deeds was funny.

Watched this last night. Although I cannot stand Adam Sandler, I thought the film was enjoyable. The Q-Bert thing was great.
