They did a sequel to the trilogy.. More or less.. 2, in fact.. First was Back to the Future - The Ride, and the second was Back to the Future - The Game.. Could say three if you include the animated series.
Obviously current 2015 looks nothing like BTTF version (fax machines still in use)
Wondering if movie theaters will have a special engagement on or near that date.
I think those Hooverboards are around some where. We are really not that much different from 1985 culturally we are, but BTTF 2 missed the mark on Video games...I think they were still in arcades on that movie lol. And the Clothe Biff and his gang where, I dont see anyone wearing that stuff.
My stupid generation keeps remaking the movies from our childhood, or rebooting them, or remaking the TV shows, and most of them have sucked!!
It's just my two cents and please don't hate on me but it'd be rather interesting to see a reboot/sequel to the trilogy, and I usually hate this kind of laziness considering that I wasn't around in the 80s.
I saw it on Bravo with Part 2 first then one, and then falling asleep during two because of my work schedule. I got the Blu-Ray set on Thursday and found the great Back in Time documentary on Netflix yesterday.

If they can do it say 2015 to 1985 or something like that and not a straight remake it could work. Maybe not do the parents meeting and that. Maybe make Marty gender swapped and now a girl. It isn't like females aren't making box office home runs now, just look at Trainwreck.

Well that is because most original stories were fi ished in the 1980's with this. Even Star Wars and Indianahommag? both had taken things from different films. Lucas mad Star Wars his space-opera while Indy was his adventure serial. Remakes and hommages are never a bad thing but to quote someone from Back in Time, you don'tnot make time travel movies, you just don't make bad ones. Replace time travel with remakes.
I could see Hollywood trying to do a prequel or sequel of some sort that tries to link with the other movies in ridiculous ways, but a remake would cause riots.
