American Graffiti? I wouln't call that one goofy.
You're probably right. Grafitti is more of a nostalgic, coming-of-age flick for Baby Boomers -- but still may have a few possible LOL moments -- for Generation X'rs and Millennials!

Peter Sellers made Clouseau his own. The Pink Panther movies got funnier and funnier as they went along.

My fave would have to be Bringing Up Baby, from 1938 starring Cary Grant & Katherine Hepburn.

Yes! Peter Sellers was terrific in the Clouseau role!

Steve what's-his-name was a total disaster as Inspector Clouseau, and nearly singlehandedly killed off the Pink Panther brand for me! His ridiculously stoooopid attempt at humor made me want to gag every time I saw his pitiful attempts at "comedy".

The genius of Peter Sellers was that he didn't have to try to be funny. He just WAS!

"Orange County" with Jack Black, Colin Hanks, and John Lithgow. LOVE that movie.

I cast a second vote for Dude, Where's My Car.

"Nothing But Trouble" . Chevy Chase, Demi Moore, Dan Ackroyd, John Candy. Now I know it was bad but sometimes being bad is good. I think it had many great comic elements and was a great send up of slasher pics. I've visited the coal regions of Pa so it is also near and dear to my heart. The story was pretty good, it just wandered a bit and they could have written some of the characters better.
" 1941" wasn't all bad either. There were so many great scenes and characters in it, it just wasn't great as a whole. They probably had too many characters and too many subplots.
