Only after a few viewings of The Dark Knight Rises, during the third act. He sounded raw.

It took me three tries to get past the first hour.
It was very hohum at best after that... esp when WW disappears and then reappears at the end.

And Wil Smith's string of failures continues. I can't just blame him, the portrayal of the characters and plot looked terrible from the get go.

Doesn't look like an "EPIC FAIL" from here. The buzz is mondo regardless of initially negative reviews, and it's poised to gross north of 100 million this weekend, no problem.

I never doubted it would make money. Suicide Squad is the biggest movie on the back end of what has been a pretty weak summer for Hollywood. The big name cast and explosions will put butts in the seats.

It will make gobs of money, which I guess is all that really matters to the studio. But that doesn't mean Suicide Squad is a good movie LOL. The critics on Rotten are saying it's a pretty bad movie, and I usually agree with most critics on there.

Aside from the Batman movies, Marvel will continue to destroy DC.

It's not like Marvel hasn't made a few bad movies that made money.

Better hold off on that opinion till Wonder Woman and Justice League arrive.

That applies to each and every studio.

I don't think DC will ever rise to the level that the Marvel EU has risen to. The Marvel EU movies are just so well made and the stories tie together so perfectly that they are seamless. The DC movies are a weak attempt to gain a foothold in the Marvel dominated movie-verse.

Like other posters have said, the DC movies will make money, and thus continue to be produced, but they will continue to pale in comparison to Marvel EU movies.
