I have seen The Big Lebowski (didn't like it), R.I.P.D., True Grit, and Arlington Road. I love Jeff's acting skills. What other movies of his would you recommend?

Thunderbolt & Lightfoot, Winter Kills, Jagged Edge-
and especially The Contender (he plays the U.S. President, co-starring Joan Allen, Gary Oldman, and Sam Elliot).

Fearless (1993), Peter Weir (who also directed Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), Gallipoli (1981), The Year of Living Dangerously (1983), The Mosquito Coast (1986), Dead Poets Society (1989), The Truman Show (1998), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), The Way Back (2010))

K-PAX (2010)

The Vanishing (1993), the remake, though I'd recommend it

The Fisher King (1991)

The Morning After (1986)

Starman (1984)

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974)

The little known and under-appreciated THE FISHER KING. Great movie.

Also agree on THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT. It's really the only Michael Cimino movie that warrants multiple viewings. One of the great movies of the '70s and one of Bridges's best performances.

And don't forget the classic STARMAN.

Tron - an oldie but goodie. Watch that one to see if you think the sequel is worth watching.
